About Ready Kids

Ready Kids is a Brisbane-based occupational therapy clinic. We work with childcare centres across Queensland, helping educators support children's development in everyday classroom moments. Our mission: empower educators and parents to nurture happy, confident children.

About the role

This is a phone-based outbound sales role, and you'll be the warm, friendly voice of Ready Kids. You'll be on the phone with childcare centre directors and educators. Some you are speaking to for the first time, others have worked with us before. We'll give you a proven script to work from; your job is to deliver it naturally, listen for what's really going on at the centre, name the problem they're facing, and respond to what comes up in the moment. Some conversations close quickly. Most take time, clear notes, multiple follow-ups, and the ability to continue conversations as long-term relationships develop.

This is a genuine sales role - but everything we sell improves the lives of educators and the children in their care. The best person for this job can sell, genuinely enjoys talking to people, and actually cares about the person on the other end of the phone.

You'll work from home, school hours only, as part of a small, supportive team.

What you will do

  • Call childcare centres - both new prospects and past customers - to start conversations about how Ready Kids can support their educators
  • Run real discovery: listen for what's actually happening at the centre, ask the right questions, and name the problem clearly enough that they nod and say "yes, that's it"
  • Match what they need to one of our packages and walk them through it in plain language
  • Build relationships over time with disciplined, useful follow-up
  • Keep clear, concise notes in our CRM so the team can pick up the handoff cleanly when a centre is ready to proceed
  • Hand off interested centres smoothly to the rest of the team

What we are looking for

  • Phone-based sales experience - essential, not nice-to-have. Cold calling, outbound, appointment-setting, side hustling or lead nurture by phone.
  • Warm, and genuinely enjoys talking to people - people like talking to you, and you like talking to them. You're easy and natural in conversation on the phone.
  • Loves sales - and loves people - you see selling as matching the right people to the right thing, not pushing. And because everything we do improves the lives of educators and children, you actually care about the person on the other end of the line.
  • Follows the script, but human with it - you can deliver a proven script and make it sound natural, not recited. You stick to what works, and you can read the moment, pick up on what someone says, and respond when something comes up that the script doesn't cover.
  • Takes feedback well - has a growth mindset and takes on feedback positively.
  • Knows your numbers - you can quote your last role's call volume, conversation rate, and close rate without checking a doc.
  • Resilient - voicemails and "not interested" don't ruin your day.
  • Disciplined follow-up - when you say you'll call back, you do.
  • Self-starter - manages your own day, gets things done without being chased.
  • A quiet home workspace, reliable internet, and your own laptop.
  • Bonus: experience in childcare, early childhood education, or allied health.

What we offer

  • $30/hour base + monthly performance bonus, paid fortnightly + super
  • High performers rewarded - strong output and above-KPI results are recognised and rewarded
  • Ongoing training and feedback to help you keep getting better at what you do
  • 15-25 hours/week, flexible within school hours (approx. 9am-3pm AEST)
  • Fully remote - work from home anywhere in Australia, Queensland preferred
  • A small, warm team that takes both the work and the people seriously

Join a team that helps educators feel more supported.

If this role sounds like a good fit, we would love to hear from you.
